Two death row inmantes in Kentucky are contending that lethal injections violate the 8th amendment's cruel and unusual punishment clause. Keep in mind that this case isn't going to decide the lagality of the death penalty, just this particular method.

Problems with lethal injection:
-Doctors do not administer injections.
-Past injections have been improperly measured causing severe pain.
-Past injections have been given improperly causing veins to burst and the process repeated.

Well maybe if the murderers would accept that their lives are forfeit for their murders and just roll over and die for us we could all have a clear concience.
Cruel and unusual is a man maliciously beating, raping an killing a woman. Sadistic and unvbelievably horrible is doing likewise to a child. What warped mind would even care how a 'monster' is disposed of. Especially when those that dispose of them do it as expediently as ability allows.
The only fear should that all get a fair trial.
Had to go outside and think on this one althoug I have read much on it.
I think it is obvious why a doctor cannot administer the 'lethel injection;' but that is the twisted left for ya.
Can't hang, can't shoot. Reminds me of some other fanatics. Can't use fossil fuel, can't use nuclear power.
The men or women that carry out our 'death sentences' will do so in what ever mannor their state prescribes. They will carry out the sentence as clean and professionally as they can. Errors occur. I guess you can say that even 'death' is a risk. Pun intended.
Not hard to know what lobby is really behind this.
Actually, you can use the firing squad. This isn't an anti-death penalty case, this is an anti-lethal injection case. So I think you're left wing conspiracy out to get rid of the death penalty doesn't have a lot to do with it. Who is really responsible for this? No, dw it isn't some left-wing organization. It's two murderers who don't want to die yet. Not a diabolical scheme to release murderers to kill your grandmother.
Why can't a doctor administer the oath? No, it's not a left-wing plot. The doctors refuse to do it -hippocratic oath, etc.
What warped mind would care? Well, there is this thing called new evidence that sometimes comes up that exonerates people who have already been put to death. Besides, it's more cost effective for the state to keep someone in prison for life than it is to kill them. Hard to believe dw, but sometimes their are outside pressures, not saying that it makes it acceptable, and changes over time, and real remorse. What kind of warped mind think that someone isn't human anymore because he's behind bars. Maybe you should become an executioner.
FYI - I think you'd be hard pressed to produce evidence that even 10% of murders are sadistic or malicious. I bet most of them are scared kids robbing gas stations and scared kids who get a gun pulled on them so they shoot back.
