Obama's Questionable PAC Money Distributions

Obama Gives Money in Exchange for Endorsements

Throughout the primaries Barack Obama has touted his self as being succesful without the use of lobbying money. Maybe the questionable legality of giving PAC money to key political players in upcoming primary states will make Obama reconsider his supposed high ground in finances.

The Obama campaign has admitted that the PAC money was given with the intention of garnering endorsements in Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. Seems a little like bribery to me...
...
"Democratic Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign helped recommend several of the donations his political action committee made in recent months to politicians in key primary states as the campaign was working to secure endorsements, campaign officials said yesterday."

What a contrast from this statement made last week: "An Obama campaign spokesman last week said that "there is no connection" between the PAC donations and the presidential campaign."

Huffington Post has listed who recieved what amount of money in New Hampshire ($73,000 total).

Sure is strange that Obama's campaign doesn't find it peculiar to give out money with the intent to get endorsements and support. Grassroots, huh?
