Uganda - Sexual Abuse

As if Saudi Arabia's rape policy wasn't bad enough.

Uganda's management of sexual abuse allegations has been condemned by Amnesty International. Years of rebel fighting by the Lord's Resistance Army in northern Uganda led to rape and the proliferation of sex slaves.

Recent years have brought increasing government provided security to the north. But for many of the women and children of the region not much has changed. Allegations of rape and sexual abuse are seldom investigated, brought before court, or dealt with in an appropriate manner

Those requesting investigations are ignored or might find themselves having to pay for the food of investigators.

Uganda's response: That's not true.
