Colonial borders divided people, resources, and history in an arbitrary manner. This has contributed to many conflicts among African nations. With inklings of an oil boom about to occur in Africa it's refreshing to see the possibility that opposing sides are working to fix at least one of the problems the Belgians and British left for the two nations. Redrawing the map is a lesson that Ethiopia might heed.

In general, squiggly borders are better than straight ones, so hopefully the borders will be un-rationalized.
The collapse of the colonial empires was a disaster, and the situation (laughable if it wasn't so tragic) of expecting incohate nations to use the borders they were given wisely is distressing.
